| Ted is a true professional, involved in his profession, and may be the only Realtor who has served on every standing committee for both residential and commercial interests at Columbus Realtors-CR and every standing committee at the Ohio Realtors-OR. Ted has been recognized as 'Volunteer of the year' at CR; gives to the Realtor’s Foundation Fund to help others; and to CORPAC to help protect private property rights. In 2006 as CR's Education Chairman, Ted was the driving force for helping create Realtor Basic Training – The A, B, C's which is also used at the state level. These classes focus on the Agent creating a life plan and budget, a business structure and business forms required, and how to obtain Clients and Customers. Ted taught the very first class of Realtors on February 5, 2007. At the National level, Ted is a Lifetime Member of RPAC, a Golden R and President’s Circle member of the National Association of Realtors. |
| TED OATTS LIFE EXPERIENCE |
| Ted Oatts enjoys spending time with his four grown children and grandchildren. He is a Christian and has served his church in many capacities through the years including Director of Music, Men's Ministry, Deacon, Bible teacher, helped build churches in Ohio, always trying to make a positive difference in people's lives. At Ohio Baptists, Ted has served as President of The Baptist Foundation. He has served meals to the homeless at Stowe Mission in downtown Columbus, worked on houses for Habitat Humanity in central Ohio, worked as a volunteer to help raise money for Marburn Academy, a school who teaches A.D.H.D. kids, and is involved in the Worthington Chamber of Commerce. He loves to play golf and travel, wanting to see all the state capitals.
Ted is an accomplished Singer/Songwriter with professionally recorded original songs on 3 albums – “TED OATTS” and “FAITH, FAMILY, FREEDOM” and “Just a Few Moments”; and provided special music for churches all over Ohio. He is an author of 2 books – “5 W’s and a H, the 6 Great Questions of Life – Who? Why? What? When? Where? and How? LIFEPLAN”; and children’s book “FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE, GIFT BOXES". Ted describes himself as a realistic optimist who lives by his philosophy that 'Everyday is a new day and a new opportunity', and his personal motto 'Never Quit'. Ted's passion for life and helping others is evident to all who know him. He asks people to remember his two favorite words when they're doing something fun or getting something good to eat: "I'm available!".
